In the early ’90s, films use to be typical with commercial stories blended with songs, comedy, and fights. So, all the movie buffs used to experience the same in different films with different heroes. Then at that time a storyteller named Shankar shined and caught the attention of popular veteran director A Chandrasekhar. By seeing Shankar’s stage play he gave an opportunity as a screenwriter in his team. From then Shankar’s life turned, his advanced thoughts in story writing surprised everyone at that time. In 1993 he made his debut as a director with the film Gentleman starring Arjun Sarja which became blockbuster. Everyone surprised for the larger than life imagination of Shankar in every aspect of filmmaking. With a huge budget and strong content in the story, Shankar won appreciation for the kind of cinema he made in the first attempt. And the rest is history, he became widely popular and his films one by one stood blockbusters showcasing the grandeur and advancement in the filmmaking techniques. He is also acclaimed as a director with no failures, all his films fared well at the box office except for Nanban which is a remake of Bollywood film 3 Idiots. So almost he had no failures till now as a director despite the story or the theme he chose. Now, after a spectacular film like ‘I’ he is coming back again with a science fiction extravaganza titled 2.0 starring superstar Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. The film took three years time in making where popular Hollywood professionals and VFX companies worked for it day and night. The film is made on a Whopping budget of 500 to 600 crore by Lyca Productions. Makers have done huge promotions for the film which raised curiosity and expectations. The film is releasing worldwide today in the record number of screens, so let us check how the film is.
