Allu Arjun is the main highlight of the film. The way he adopted the role is impressive and delivered good performance as a man who is having anger issues. He carried the film on his shoulders and lived the role. Anu Emmanuel is ok in her role and the chemistry between the lead pair is good. Actors Arjun, Rao Ramesh did an excellent performance in their roles. All the other actors like Boman Irani, Nadia, Sharath Kumar, Chaaru Haasan did a good job according to their roles. Vennela Kishore is good and tried to generate fun here and there.
The technical department did a good job fulfilling the requirement. Production values of the film by Rama Lakshmi Cine Creations were rich. Cinematography done by Rajeev Ravi is good and helped the film to get the tough look. Editing work done by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is ok and could have avoided few scenes in second half. Music by Vishal Sekhar is okay and background scores are good. Dialogues mainly regarding soldiers were good. Coming to the direction as the first film Vakkantam Vamsi did a good job. The way film take off is good but later on, going to second half film gets flat in some places. We can say Vakkantam made a decent debut as the director.
- Allu Arjun as Surya
- Few episodes in Second half
- Climax dragged a bit
- Editing could have been better
On a whole Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India is a patriotic drama which showcases how once anger could be turned in the positive direction in order to achieve goals. Allu Arjun as Surya a man with anger issues excelled in his role. Allu Arjun’s stunning appearance and the way he portrayed the character is amazing, which brings a lot of depth to the proceedings. Vaakntam Vamsi made a decent debut with the film and tried to pay the tribute to the Indian soldiers with the film. The film first 30 minutes is too good and the interval bang is perfect. Later proceedings in the second half fall flat and unnecessary item song in the last kill the flow. The climax is good but dragged a little bit. Overall, Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India ends as a watchable flick this weekend for Allu Arjun’s performance and for good theme of the film and rest can be ignored.
Bottom Line: Allu Arjun is impressive as Surya.
