Pandem Kodi 2 review

Balu (Vishal) the son Raja Reddy (Rajkiran) who is a popular personality in the village having people’s support and immense respect. He always strives for the well being of the people and the surrounding villages. One fine day a person who involved in one incident seeks the help of Raja Reddy and Balu. They both gave him their word to save him from any group. Villain group led by Bhavani(Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar) is searching the person and come to know he was supported by Raja Reddy group. Slowly the rivalry takes an ugly turn between Raja Reddy and Bhavani groups. Meanwhile, Vishal fell in love Charumathi (Keerthy Suresh). What is the incident? Why Bhavani turns against Raja Reddy group? How Balu solves the issues between the two groups? What happens in the end? Forms the rest story.

Vishal did a good performance in the role of Balu with emotions. He is excelled in mass action scenes we all know so he did superbly in fight sequences carrying emotion. Keerthy Suresh as a village girl will impress with her subtle performance. Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar did a splendid job in the negative she is definitely one of the highlights of the film. Raj Kiran is as usual good in this tailor-made role. Soori is the comedy relief in the film with his timing and expressions he generates few laughs here and there. Remaining other actors did a decent job accordingly.

Technical Aspects:

Production values of the film are good and provided everything required for a mass action entertainer. The music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja is okay with songs and superb coming to background scores which elevate the scenes. The camera work done by Sakthivel did a splendid job with his camera angles especially taking the action sequences. The action episodes in the film are the main highlight, especially interval scene. Editing of the film is okay and could have been better. VFX part of the film is good.

  • Performances
  • Action sequences
  • Background scores
  • Camera work

  • Same old story
  • Bit dull second half
  • High action dose

Final Verdict:

On a whole, Pandem Kodi 2 have the similarities with the first part as it is a sequel but missed to repeat the same magic again. The first half of the film is good with good action sequences and intense performances especially the interval bang. In the second half director messed up things with few subplots with the overdose of action episodes in the seconds half. Coming to the climax its not believable that with a simple incident the villain turns positive. Lingusamy who is expert in handling mass action subjects did a decent job with the direction but could have made few changes in the second half. Overall, Pandem Kodi 2 ends as a watchable action entertainer. People who love mass action flicks will enjoy the film much than the others. In mass centers film will definitely impress audiences.

Final Verdict:   For Mass Action lovers
