Review

Story:

The story is a periodic drama which happens in mid eighties in a rustic village named Rangasthalam. The village is ruled by a heartless president (Jagapathi Babu ) with his dominant social system. He overpower the villagers with his rules and dominance. Chitti Babu (RamCharan) brother Kumar Babu (Aadi) who is educated and feels annoyed with the feudalistic views of the president and dediced to go against him. Then he starts facing problems and Chitti Babu stands for him. What problem president creates? How Kumar Babu and Chitti Babu face them? What happens to them? How they solved the problem? Forms the rest story.

Performances:

 Ram Charan as Chitti Babu did an extraordinary performance and opened a new chapter as an newly born artist with this role. As a person with hearing disability Ram Charan lived upto the role and did his maximum. Accepting this kind of role is challenging Ram Charan did his best. Samantha as Rama Lakshmi in a de-glamour role did her best. Aadhi as Kumar Babu also did his best and looks wise also he appealed vintage. Jagapathi Babu as rutheless president did asusual best performance. Anasuya as Rangammatta definitely impresses everyone with her looks and emotional performance. Remaining artists Jabardasth Mahesh, Getup Srinu, Prakash Raj everyone did best in their roles.

Technical Aspects:

 Technically film is good and entire team did best in bringing the rustic village look in each and every frame. Director of cinematography Ratnavelu did exceelent job in showing village in natural way in every frame. Editing done by Naveen is pretty good. The music scored by Devi Sri Prasad is the heart of the film and especially the background scores are superb. Production values by Mythri Movie Makers are outstanding and they have done their best in showcasing the film in natural way. Finally, director Sukumar did an excellent job in showing the emotional rustic village drama in a very engaging way. Now a days audience are missing pure village drama’s and Sukumar with this story and narration became successful in showing a pure emotional village drama.

Final Verdict:

Overall, Rangasthalam is a pure natural rustic village emotional drama which entertains everyone. This film is example of a good storytelling with characters, emotions. Director of the film Sukumar did a very fine job in narating this rustic village drama with all kinds of emotions like bonding between brothers, romantic track between lead pair, ruthless act of villain. RamCharan completely showed his acting skills in the movie and did fantastic job as Chitti Babu. This film is the perfect example of a complete movie with all kinds of emotions in it. On a whole Rangasthalam is a intense village drama with all kinds of emotions and gripping moments. The film will appeal to masses and family audience very well and this movie is a good start for the summer this year. This movie will end as a good watch this weekend, go for it.
